My wife and I just bought our first home and Ellis was instrumental in making this process unbelievably painless. I was one of those skeptical kinds that thought I could do it all with an internet type of agent early in the process, however after having gone through the whole process, the expertise of an experienced and professional realtor such as Ellis is worth its weight in gold really. His local knowledge is impressive. I am an analytical person and the wealth of information he provided regarding the market conditions and comps in Redondo Beach, where we were looking, was astounding and very helpful to put us at ease with the price we were offering. Process expertise - there are so many little things that come up when doing a deal which I had no clue about that his expertise was super valuable and a time saver. Responsiveness - call, email, text Ellis anytime and he is bound to get back to you within the hour or so... very impressive. Negotiation Skills - He almost wouldn't let me offer as much as I was willing to offer on one particular property because he thought it wasn't worth it, and that saved us '000s. We passed on that property and ended up buying a much better one for a much lower price per sq.ft. Above all, Ellis is a straight shooter and a real pleasure to do business with. He is the kind of professional that I wish there were more of out there. I highly recommend his services.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found Ellis. I had done some research online and was initially attracted by his offer of 1% back on the purchase. I purchased a home (closed over thanksgiving 2011) in Redondo Beach as a first time home buyer and he was an invaluable resource throughout the process. I cannot stress enough how a good agent is essential to the process and Ellis is an excellent agent. The purchase ended up being nonstandard with numerous difficulties and he was able to navigate the many hurdles thrown our way with ease. Without his efforts I would have been unable to close on the property. Ellis worked day and night to ensure the deal went through, so much so that at times I felt guilty for the amount of effort he was putting forth. He was extremely prompt in delivering daily updates via text, email, phone calls, and face to face meetings. He was also relentless in pursuing the sellers to get all documents signed on time for an early close. Truly looked out for my interest ahead of his own which I feel is rare. I never felt pressured and his advice was always spot on. Ellis listed our house under pressure from a variety of circumstances; a buyers market, a glut of inventory in the area, decreasing values due to foreclosures and brand new construction of a house on the lot next door. Despite mounting days on the market, Ellis remained positive and committed to Open Houses every Sunday until we got the right offer. He was open and honest about dropping values and kept our spirits up until escrow closed. From the very beginning, Ellis Posner was fully committed to represent our interests. When we were faced with a decision or question, Ellis was comprehensive, complete, honest, and objective in his input and response. He was always quick to respond - often with a fully researched and comprehensive survey of the risks, benefits, trends, etc. He presented all options - even if an option was not as profitable for him or was different than our understanding. He was fully aware of the historical and current markets in the area and was inevitably right in his predictions of trends. He was always careful to represent our interests. He was always careful to avoid negative statement about other professionals. He would always point out any potential conflicts of interest. He has outstanding skills in working with difficult people - such as one of our renters who was always argumentative, would bend the facts, was undependable, and predictably abrasive. We had two very difficult issues to deal with in selling our two properties. This issues took over two years to resolve. Ellis was with us every step of the way and often went out of his way to help us through the murk and turbulence. His connections with various individuals and agencies in the area were key to our successful outcome. Ellis is a man of his word. If he said something would be done - it was done and done well and on time. He respected our property. He respected our needs and anticipated our needs and possible difficulties. He respected us in every way. Ellis stuck in there with us, even through illogical extended family arguments and legal issues. He demonstrated excellent negotiation skills. He has a broad and comprehensive understanding of real estate laws and regulations. He was always careful to put everything in writing. He knew how to predict and avoid pitfalls. When we needed a referral for a handyman, attorney, contractor, house cleaner, asbestos removal, pest issues, waste disposal, etc., not only did he have someone in mind, he knew who was dependable, knowledgable, and trustworthy. Several times we suggested that Ellis abandon our cases because of the amount of time and trouble involved - and Ellis stayed with us. We successfully negotiated the difficult sale of two very high value properties from 400 miles away with minimal disruption in our lives, family, and careers ONLY BECAUSE of Ellis Posner. I realize that my review is only positive. About the only negative thing I can say about Ellis is that he probably spent more time than he should have on our behalf, for which we are grateful. I would recommend Ellis Posner without any hesitation or reserve. At times our very financial security was at risk and without fail Ellis guided us to the correct course of action. I wish I could clone Ellis. I wish Ellis was available to our friends and family around the country involved with buying, selling, and renting real estate.
